Environmental Exposure & Analytical Chemistry

Overview of Services

By placing this order in iLab, user agrees to and accepts the Terms and Conditions governing the provision of shared core biomedical research services (“Services”) by NYU Grossman School of Medicine (“NYU”).

The Services are provided by NYU on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis and without any express or implied warranties.

The NYU Environmental Exposure & Analytical Chemistry Core is a new facility specialized in the detection and quantification of anthropogenic organic chemicals, including endocrine disruptors, in biological and environmental samples. We provide comprehensive analytical services for exposure assessment and biomonitoring studies using mass spectrometry-based techniques. Our capabilities encompass targeted analysis of specific chemical classes including organophosphate compounds (flame retardants and pesticides), bisphenols, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), phthalates, and glyphosate, as well as non-targeted analysis for discovering emerging contaminants and unknown chemical exposures. We also offer standard biomarker measurements such as creatinine for sample normalization. All analyses are performed with high sensitivity and accuracy to support environmental health research and public health investigations. Our methods are designed to detect trace levels of these chemicals in human biospecimens, providing critical data for understanding human exposure to environmental chemicals. Whether your goal is to measure a specific environmental contaminant or explore the complete chemical exposome of your samples, our goal is to tailor the analyses to your research and monitoring needs.
