Researchers partnering with NYU Langone Health’s Cytometry and Cell Sorting Laboratory have access to the most powerful and adaptable flow cytometry instruments available. Our state-of-the-art instruments measure the physical and chemical characteristics of cells and other biological or non-biological particles by passing them in fluid suspension one by one through a cytometer, and some cytometers can even sort out cells of interest.
By performing analyses of cellular light scatter and fluorescence, you can measure different aspects of a cell or particle in real time and in high throughput. This allows for immunophenotyping, cell cycle analysis, and intracellular fluorophore detection, as well as many other applications. Our self-service cell analyzers, which can detect as many as 27 parameters, are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in several convenient locations across NYU Langone Health Campus.
In addition to analysis, our cell sorting instruments allow you to physically isolate cell populations of interest from a sample you provide, enabling downstream applications such as cell culture, RNA microarray analysis, and single cell cloning. Our biosafety level 2 and level 3 laboratories allow for safe sorting of viable biohazardous materials.
All of our technologies can be tailored to your research needs, and our certified cytometrists are available to help you plan your experiments, as well as train you in the use of cell analyzers, self-service sorters and analysis software.
